Has everyone changed their passwords to safer ones?
I don't know much but let's share what we know, ya?

Set a password as unrelated to you as possible. Thus, birthdate is a big nono. The first thing that hackers/crackers will try is usually the birthdates.

Alphanumerics are encouraged. An average hacker or a hacking program running 24/7 will take around 2 months to crack a 7 alphanumerical password. So..the more the merrier.

Scan your computer as often as you can. Viruses like trojan, once planted and activated, can be use to monitor activites on the computer. Some can even be used to control your machine.

I'm sure many of you know much more about all these than I do. Share alright? If some of the things that I've stated are somehow inaccurate, please do correct me.

Well, enough of all the geeky stuff. With all those crazy bombings going on, why are there people who strive to do such pointless stuf, I wonder.

In a little more than 2 months' time, Baby Abigail will be a year old already. She's growing so fast...

You know something is wrong when your phone rings at 4.30 in the morning.

Yanyan was crying when I answered it. There had been a few thoughts running in my mind, speculating what might have happened.

The truth, was way beyond my imagination.

'Shuyin, my blog is gone. All my blog entries are gone. My emails too.. All 3000+ of them. How?'

While asking questions to find out what exactly happened, suddenly I was angry at myself for being so ignorant about these Internet technology stuff.

Yanyan told me to go back to sleep. Stupid girl.

I turned on my lappy and visited her site. When I saw what was there, I was fuming.

HOW CAN THERE BE PEOPLE WHO WILL DO SUCH A THING?!?!
DELETE EVERYTHING. FINE.
STILL TOOK THE TIME TO SELECT A NEW TEMPLATE, CHANGE HER PROFILE AND BLOG. NOT TO FORGET THE AUDACITY TO ASK PEOPLE TO EMAIL TO THE ACCOUNT WHICH HE/SHE HACKED.

By then, I logged on to my blogger page, ready to blog, to scold.

Yanyan asked me not to. Instead, she asked me to leave a comment, to ask the person to return everything to her, take it that she was begging. (The 'blogging princess' don't even have an account for her to comment.)

Thus, I wrote this:

Can you please not do this?
Take it as we are begging you.

I don't believe that Yanyan (Xiaxue) has done anything to deserve this.

You've just denied her 3 years of effort to come this far, scratch by scratch. Not forgetting her precious memories of her life with everyone of us.

Did a search on the NET, attempting to find out more about hackers and all. Apart from that, I can only keep hitting the refresh buttons for the comments page as well as my email browser.

Yes, that was how desperate we were.

With every refresh, I got more and more agitated.

I am so disgusted that I cannot even type out that sound I made every time I see one of those comments.

Yes, indeed, my blog has been hacked. I understand some of you might be sending emails to me right now, alerting me, and the thought warms my heart (which is very startlingly cold right now mind you).

Unfortunately, the hacker is quite clever. He also managed to guess the password to my gmail account. My 3,000 emails, some of which very important business contacts, are all gone.

*snap!* Gone.

The last time I saw my account, I saw two new emails, and these were the only two. I thought Gmail cocked up on me. I laughed, refreshed, and hey, I got logged out! To my horror I couldn't log in anymore. Can you imagine the amount of time he or she took to delete everything?

Checking blogger.... GONE TOO!

How wonderful. A total of 12 or so blogs, all painstakingly done up, all gone. The media center, the FAQs, the photolog, the Hate site. My hard work of 3 years, gone.

Vanished into thin air now! How very cruel this person is. I wonder what made him or her do this.

I remember I once told Adrian, "You know what is my greatest fear?" "What?" he mumbled (not because he wanted to mumble but because he only grunts and mumbles).

It was that someone would hack into my blogger account.

Adrian laughed and said, "Then did you save all your blog files?"

I told him no. He scolded me and said, "Then you better go and save them now!"

And I did! The latest, however, was the May archives. So if you do have ways to get back the June and July archives, or you saved them even, do tell me! I never thought I would ever be thanking this person, but... xialanbin.blogspot.com did put in some work in copying my files afterall. The URL for my archives are there.

It will be hard work doing up all the old blog entries again. It will take a lot of time and sweat, but I can do it.Because being Xiaxue means nothing can get me down, ever. Especially when so many of you are with me. Thank you Shuyin, for waking up at 430am to help me.

I started out with nothing, and I can do it all over again. I will stop those bloody tears right this moment.

A few days back, I sent a message to a girl via Friendster.

She was an ex-girlfriend of a friend.

Well, she took a picture from Yanyan's blog, posted as one of the pictures in her account and I happened to see them.

As most of you will know, Yanyan has a habit of labelling her pics with a watermark.
This particular person posted the photo with the watermark. But after a while, she reposted it with watermark cropped away.

So I wrote something along the lines of 'We have absolutely no qualms about the photo being taken, but it will be appreciated if the watermark remained. Plus a 'hope to hear from you soon'.'

Yanyan thought it was very funny to hear me so being polite.

Anyway, she took down the picture but I've got no reply from her.

My point is, ok la, I know I'm very bo liao to be bothered by this kind of stuff, but if it was anyone of you, will you reply?

Maybe the girl is busy or what, I don't know. I just wanna find out is it me, who 'jia ba bo sai bang' , literally (constipation sucks), or it is only natural for someone to reply.

I have a friend who is a lesbian.

I have nothing against homosexuality, but a rather appalling thought crossed my mind yesterday while reading her blog.

She calls her partner 'baby boy' and refers to her (erm, him? Very confusing) as her 'boyfriend'. She/He looks rather cute, I must say.

While I was happily looking at their photos, I thought:

'Baby boy' has menses.
'Boyfriend' wears sanitary napkins.
Menstrual blood on sanitary napkin.
Menstrual cramps.

Attached girls always complain to their boyfriends when they have to go through the monthly ordeal. You know, sa jiao.

So, when the 'boyfriends' suffer from these cramps, do they complain or discuss with their girlfriends?
Wouldn't it be quite 'un-macho'?

3) I know my breasts, or lack thereof, are very unbearable to look at.

I couldn't help it cos I really ran out of toilet paper and am too poor to replenish them.
