ABBIE!!!

Went shopping with Yanyan today. Then we thought of Abbie!
So we went all the way to Sembawang to find her.
What a fruitful trip.
She's so cute can!

I wanted to make a collage-like thingie. But I figured this is better, because if you scroll fast enough, you can really see her move.
No captions. Use your imagination. More fun. Don't wanna spoil the photos too.

Okok..Maybe a few.
I was feeding her bread. She's playing with it.
She wants to eat everything..So adorable.

This is our favorite!!

The niece and aunt bond.

See her little hand on my thigh?! *contented*

Cheeky..

I think this is very nice. Looks like they are sharing some secret. =)

Abbie always makes my day.

Hi, my name is Shuyin.

I was thinking maybe I should have an English name.

My name is always forgotten during those social settings. I don't understand how people could remember the Final Fantasy character, Shuin and yet, can't remember mine.

I can remember people's Chinese names pretty well, even better than english ones. They are like more unique, with more character, which I can better associate the person with.

I like my chinese name leh..
Shu=book=literature, Yin=music.

But maybe I should just get an English one for convenience sake.

Any suggestion?

I'll prefer it to start with an 'S' and not too common.

FYI: my so-called friends are suggesting GWENDOFALYN, LABIANA, VAGINARALA, FLANNY, SMOULDERIA, SULTRANA...
Oh, and CHEE, so that when we bid our goodbyes..

Go figure yourself.

tralalala...BOM!

Haha, thanks everyone for the encouragement.
Usually I'm back to normal once I rant it off, so yah.

How did everyone spend their weekend?

Good or not?

Here's how I spent mine.

I satisfied my urge for the chick flick marathon all thanks to Miss Cheng.

Met Weili at Serangoon Garden and went to rent Envy by Ben Stiller and that guy from School of Rock. Not really chick flick la. Coz of Weili lor, he wants to act macho.

Had chicken briyani, Indian rojak and halia susu.

Went back to Weili's place and wait for Yanyan to arrive.

I ate instant mash potato and ice cream.

Lili was sorta traumatised.

The movie was pretty smelly..er funny. Vapoorize

Then we went online to gossip.
There goes the 'marathon'.

Went swimming the next morning.
I managed to swim for 40 minutes non-stop.
As a result, I ate alot for lunch. Hehe.

Afterwards, Yanyan and I went to Zouk's Flea Market. Eh, keyi, why didn't you approach us? When I got your sms, I was already on my way to Orchard. But then again, THE PLACE WAS SO PACKED.

We saw this stall where there was a baby lying in a luggage full of clothes. I so wanna go scold the tenant. The whole place smell of smoke and he actually brought the baby in there. Urgh.

Anyway, I bought a pair of wedges...

for 10 bucks. Good buy, Must buy!

I told Yanyan my outfit looked like durian.

榴莲大又圆,味道香又甜!
你爱吃榴莲;我爱吃榴莲!
嘿!

The halter neck top belongs to her. I actually forgot to bring clothes to change. Can you believe it?

Met Idris after that. Someone is so happy. He found his 11B and gotten his PSP.

Yanyan found her camera.

Where is my lost item?!?!?!??!?!?!

Never mind. I've got new shoes.

(This entry sounds bimbotic, eh? I feel like doing the Day of my life thingy. But I'm scared of the da ne nes..)

Do I look like a post(wo)man?

I don't think so.

So, stop asking me to pass messages to Yanyan, stop asking me to ask her to do this or that.

I DON'T LIKE IT.
Not even if you are polite or nice.

I have received so many emails asking me for favours related to Yanyan.

One idiot even asked me to lecture Yanyan, to not to bitch too much.
Ni bu hui qu si.

Asking me for favours? I'm fine with it.
But don't you come talk to me with the purpose of getting me to ask my friend to do this or not to do that.

I AM NOT AN OBJECT FOR ANYONE TO MAKE USE OF.

And you know what's even more irritating?

"I've sent an email to Xiaxue too, but she didn't reply. So I thought you might be able to help me convey my message or to get her to read my mail?"
Every single email asking me for favours have got these lines.

Very smart, you people. How did you know if I asked her to read her mail, she definitely will? So clever..

Let me tell you this: Miss Cheng checks her mail everyday, more often than I do. If she wants to reply, she will. If not, well, she's not obligated to.

Thus, no, I won't help anyone convey any message. At most I'll just say, 'Your reader emailed me.', which is pretty pointless because she probably have read it already and sent it to trash. That is, if you don't get her reply.

When I am reluctant to pass any message, do you think I'll actually listen to you to ask my friend to act upon your wishes?
You are just some stranger whom I don't even know how you look like and you want me to listen to you? What makes you think I'll agree with your point of view in the first place?
Are you deluded or are you deluded?

I'll give an example:
Someone asked me if she can get Yanyan or me to sell the champagne glasses used on her birthday. The person said it was urgent. But I don't understand how she thinks through me she'll get what she wants?
For all you may know, maybe Yanyan will sell those glasses. But then I get to know about the matter. I say, 'Don't sell la! Used on your 21st birthday leh. At most I help you glue them into the pyramid shape like that day with my glue gun as your housewarming gift?'
Tada! No glasses for sale oredi.

Some might also say, 'Even if I am giving your friend something good?'
Yes, I won't listen to you either.
Like I said, I'll just say, 'Check your mailbox.'

We are all people with minds of our own. That girl with the G-string tan is perfectly capable of deciding for herself what to or not to do. She has a Mensa cert. I don't.
If she asks me for advice, I give my point of view. She still has the final say.

As a friend, I think my words do worth a little. But I give my opinions on my own freewill. Not because someone asked me to.

It is not nice of a feeling to feel being made use of.
It is also almost despicable to make use of others' relationships.

And those bastards whom I corresponded with, who I intially thought were genuinely interested to discuss on certain topics, which in the end ASKED ME TO ASK WENDY/XIAXUE TO POST THEIR EMAILS UP..

I won't even bother to argue.

Unconditioned love..

Went to visit Abbie today.

She was taking her nap, lying on her side, hugging her little bolster.
I was looking at her peaceful little face and it was then when I fully understand what it means when we say, 'sleep like a baby'.
So innocent, so in peace, so tranquilising.
I kissed her chubby cheek and slept beside her.

Then, I heard her woke up. I opened my eyes and she was already in the crawling position staring at me.
I said, 'Good morning, darling.'
And she smiled at me.

Exactly 7 months ago, Abigail was only a 3kg infant wrapped in a whitle cloth.

Now, she can flip, giggle, consume porridge, ask for her orange juice to be fed faster, 'swim', and she is teething soon.

So many times when I look at her, I was like: Hey, I will do anything, ANYTHING I can for this little angel to be happy, for her to smile, for the people who love her to smile with her.

And I realised how blessed I am.

I mean, you got to really, really love the person to be willing to do anything for him or her, no?

And I know that there are people around me who will do just that for me.

I'm not saying I want anyone to die for me or what. But there are all these people around me who I know I can always turn to, who will always be there for me.

Take my Uncle's (Abbie's grandfather) family for example. I am not even their daughter/sister, but they are always there to support me. Not only moral support. Very often, monetary support too. I don't think I deserve these. I did nothing but to only grow up in their family.

They are not even expecting anything in return. Just pure giving.

As Chinese, we are not vocal with our care and concern for each other but it is often, the small little actions and thoughts that count, which makes them even more heartwarming.

My love for little Abbie is not to 'repay' them for their kindness. It is more of a 'result' of all of what I have received from them and I am just carrying it on.

We are often joking how Abbie is to avenge how her mummy (my cousin) had suffered because of me when I was a baby, and now Abbie is to bully me. It's so weird of how willing I am to be bullied.

I really don't mind. Just as long as I can always see all of your happy faces and Abbie's beautiful smile.

Our angel with her aunt (my cousin-in-law)

My cousin reads my blog, sorry la I know it's very mushy. =P

Bland

Edit: Wanyi pointed out many many mistakes. SO GROSS CAN. Must be Miss Cheng's virus. That day while I was over at her place. She wanted to tell her friend over MSN that I was sitting next to her. She typed 'Shuyin is shitting next to me.'. Another time, she typed 'firned'. I asked her what was that, and that bitch could still reply indignantly that it was 'friend la'. BAH!! Push all the blame to her. PPPUUSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHH.

I have nothing worthy to blog about, I think.
Just some random stuff.

Do some of you experience this:
Out of a sudden, you keep seeing a certain word 'loitering' around.
Nowadays I keep seeing 'infantile' appearing everywhere. Some time ago it was 'albeit', before that was 'per se'..
Weird.

I keep having funny cravings and urges.

I have an urge to have a chick flicks marathon.
Suddenly I feel like drinking wine.
I feel like having champagne.
I wanna open my eyes wide and let the industrial fan blow straight into my face.
I think the back of my neck feels hot, thus I am considering to chop off my hair.
I wanna play Pachabel's Canon in D now at 3.30am.
I wanna have toe cramps, to see my fourth toe overlap my third and feel the pain.
I feel like doing sit-ups and crunches till my tummy hurts.

Oh my..I shall go prance around the house.

Tata.

Day of my life.

I woke up at 12nn today.
Figuring that I'll be late for my date with Idris (we are suppose to meet at anytime between 1300 to 1700), I quickly went to bathe.
Since my house is using the central heating system, I had to bathe with not-hot-at-all water. Grrrrr..
Took some time to decide what to wear: black tank top with denim peddle-pushers, a black sequin sash, 1 black plastic bangle, 2 black rubber bangles, black leather Guess watch, beady choker with rose and my magenta strawbag. Oh, not to forget my shocking pink lace-up sandals. After I was all dressed up, Idris called and said he could only book out at 1530.
BAH! Made me rush for nothing.
SSSSSlllllllooooooowwwwwwllllllllyyyyy put on my make-up and still had the time to chit chat with Wanyi via MSN about the brands and sizes of teats mothers should get for their babies. I realised that I am quite well informed about all these all thanks to Abbie. =P
Left house at 1500. Missed my bus and had to wait for 20 minutes for the bus to come.
Very irritating.
Alighted at Queenstown and transfered to the MRT towards Boon Lay.
I was enjoying looking at the scorching sun, giving me the valid reason to wear my gigantic shades, while seated in the air-conditioned cabin, IT POURED.
Idris was already waiting at the Interchange, which totally defeated the purpose of me to 'pick him up'. =_=!
We decided to catch xXx2 at 1705. Just because of that short little five minutes after five, we had to pay an extra of $1.50. $9.50 on weekends and PH...the ticket prices are getting horrendous.
Saw Yanyan's friend, Huifen. First thing she said when she saw her was to ask about his *eh-hem* size. THANKS AH, WENDY CHENG YAN YAN.
The movie was pretty good. I LOVE SAMUEL L JACKSON.
We had Billy Bomber's for dinner. I can never finish their food. The servings are GIGANTOUS..
Met Metta, my choir senior. Haven't see her for a long long time. Time to ask Ah Niao to organise a gathering...
Took the bus home after that since Idris is using the bus concession. My initial plan was to go meet Yanyan but I was kind of tired.
We watched the news from TV Mobile. Dr Wee Kim Wee passed away. *sobs* I quite liked him.
I think I'll get a lot of verbal slaps from the bitches (yy and wy) because of this post. They dislike blogs that addresses daily mundane activities, ie. wake up, brush teeth, eat, watch TV, sex (maybe not), sleep, etc.

But who cares?!?! IT'S MY BLOG! (omg..so cliche)

Thus, here I am, lying on my bed, typing on my laptop, about this day of my life of
how I woke up at 12nn today.
